Nothing exceptional, few small problems., 14 Sept. 2010

I initially bought a few of the Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature bottles because, I'll be honest- the packaging was attractive and they were cheaper than the Avent bottles, which was the other brand easily available in my local supermarket. I am breastfeeding and only require a bottle for the occasional feed when I want to leave my daughter with someone.

Aesthetically the bottle looks cute. Made from BPA free plastic with a silicone teat is has the volume measurements printed on ( oz and ml) and the Tommee Tippee logo also.

Functionally the bottle works like any other bottle. It has an air vent on the teat. It assembles, dismantles and sterilises easily.

The problem I found is that a significant amount of milk wells up in the top of the bottle and it's almost impossible to tip this into the teat to feed to the baby, so there's a significant amount of wastage, maybe half an ounce. This may not seem like a big deal, but to a breastfeeding mum who is...

Good bottles but buy the 260ml ones instead, 21 Jun. 2011

The positive - we've used these bottles with our son since the start and he latched onto them straight away, they don't leak and feel comfortable to hold. We haven't combined bottle and breastfeeding so can't comment on how they perform in that way.The negative - they lose stars for being very small. You will need to buy the larger sized bottles within a few months so save your money and buy the 260ml bottles instead, don't waste your money on these (as cute and dinky as they are).

i love tommee tippee bottles and these are great for starting out, easy to clean and sterilise and my son seemed to take to the teat as well as me very well as i was mix feeding
