This is not my regular shaving brush. My first choice is an Edwin Jagger super badger brush which is excellent but I wanted a brush with a little more backbone so I could use effectively. This brush didnt dissapoint.Mitchells/Kent is supposedly very difficult to lather but this brush made short work and did an excellent job of it.When it arrived I shampoo'd it a couple of times, hand lathered it up and left it to soak in the lather for about 8-9 hours and then rinsed it out. This got rid of the "wet dog" smell.I dont think you will be dissapointed. If you are looking for an inexpensive but reasonable quality shaving brush give it a try.

excellent quality, 21 Jan. 2016

My first impressions of this brush is that it is exceptionally well made, good looking, and the bristles are very smooth. I normally let a boar bristles brush soften in hot water for a few minutes, before lathering it up with shaving soap. However, with this brush, I found that soaking was not especially beneficial, as the bristles are already soft and smooth. The benefits of badger hair became apparently upon lathering. I normally use traditional Arko shaving soak, and it lather very well. However, it only took a quick swirling of the brush against the soap to lather up with rich soapy suds. Applying the suds to my face and neck was extremely smooth and comfortable, I felt that the bristles lifted the hair more effectively than my previous brush does, as my my skin was smooth with less passes of the razor.

With regards to the quality of the brush, I'm equally impressed. I have not had a single loose bristle detach from the handle, not one. Normally I always experience a...

Its a really nice brush and great valve., 18 Jan. 2016

I really like this shaving brush, and after checking with the seller I can confirm the bristles are made of imitation Badger hair which is much better than some cheaper brushes that have thicker nylon bristles.

I did find that the brush need to be broken in as the lather I got when using it the first time wasn’t great but this really is the norm with a lot of brushes, the lather you get will get better each time it is used and after six or seven uses it will be perfect, to get round this before using it to shave some people will use a cheap shaving cream to lather it up then wash and dry repeating this six or seven times (depending on brush) or until they are happy with the performance before using it to shave.

The brush after breaking it in lathered up lovely using my favourite shaving cream which I highly recommend, it can be found here:...
