Beautiful color, 24 April 2013

The Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters are my favorite lipsticks. They're creamy, moisturizing and feel more like a balm. I first saw the Macaroon color on Pinterest, and loved it! After a fruitless search, I learned that it is a UK exclusive color, unavailable here in the US. Thank goodness for Amazon! It was definitely worth the extra wait and cost of shipping. Would order this one again.

Almost perfect lipstick, let down by the case, 28 Jan. 2015

I'd have given this 5 stars if the casing had been just a tiny bit better. It's a shame because the vintage style really appeals to me, but the base where you hold it to pull it open is so small you can barely grip it, and you end up wobbling the lipstick from side to side to get the lid of which isn't terribly glam. That little niggle aside, though, it really is a gorgeous lipstick (once you've battled it open...) There's something about lipsticks that gives an instant feel good vibe, it's not just the wearing of, but the look, the feel, even the smell of it as you open it. A good lipstick can lift your spirits and make you feel fabulous. Revlon Colorburst has all the feelgood factors; the vintage look, a thick, creamy lustre as you twist it upwards and such a lovely smell which reminds me of pick n' mix sweets in the 1970s, I think this lipstick has a smell like white chocolate mice but that may just be me. It goes on beautifully with good definition and with this shade I haven't...

Incredibly hard to open, and the lip butter smears on a little thickly. Great colour, though, for most skin shades., 24 Jan. 2015

At first I thought I wasn't going to be able to try this product or review it, as it is SO hard to get into. The black base is only about 2/3cm tall, and is very smooth and without any groove or lip that fingers can grasp to get it open. Yes, there was a sticker holding the base and the cover together, but this was the easy-peel variety so there was no residue, so that wasn't the issue. In the end, I had to slide the tip of a nail into the bit where the base meets the cover, ease it all round gently; I then had to do it all again on the next use, and the next...but it did eventually get a little easier to open. There's almost like a magnetic pull between the base and the cover, which may be a good thing in terms of the lid not coming off by accident, but if you want to use the product in a hurry, it's not easy to get into at all. And goodness knows what it'd be like if you had hand cream on...

The packaging of the Peach Parfait shade makes the product look really cheap, and...
