fantastic product if left on longer. Long hair needs 3 boxes., 20 May 2015

Excellent. My hair is naturally mousy brown. I've always, for 20 years had my colours in a salon, but decided to be brave & have a go myself as I was never as blonde as I wanted to be. I checked reviews 1st on Amazon. This one stood out. I used 2 as my hair is long. I was a little disappointed at first as my hair turned out a little yellow & patchy. I did my homework & realized it was because I hadn't left it on long enough & didn't have enough for all my long hair. A stylist then advised wait a few weeks then do it again.

This time I ordered 3 boxes. This amount was just enough. I also left it on for much longer than advised, approx 50 minutes. The result was stunning! Even the dark roots were white. It was even & still looked toned. I then used intensive conditioning treatments after each wash, then after another week or so it looked so healthy & even like it'd been done in a salon!

So make sure you have enough for your hair length & leave on longer than advised on the box...

Comes out very dark on dry, porous hair, and then fades almost completely, 23 May 2015

I applied this over bleached hair, doing the roots first and then the lengths afterwards, leaving the dye on the more porous lengths for a shorter time. All together, I let it develop for 30 minutes on the roots and 10 minutes on the more porous lengths which had been subjected to more bleach over the years.

It came out a beautiful, firey copper on the 5 inches closest to my scalp, but the lengths which I'd been so careful with and only had the dye on for 10 minutes, well, they came out in exactly the shade of deep plum/burgundy that I really didn't want. What I believe young people call a 'hot mess'. Dark hair's lovely if it suits you and it's what you're after, but when you're going from pale blonde to copper, burgundy hair is enough to make you weep. Thankfully I knew how to fade out permanent dye with a vitamin c/clarifying shampoo mixture, and after a weekend of repeatedly washing the bottom few inches of my hair (which were almost purple) with this it had faded...

I am very disappointed in this product, 15 Jun. 2015
I am very disappointed in this product. I was exsepecting for the outcome to me like the photo on the box. It turned a very ginger/ brassy colour and I have had to spend more money trying to sort the outcome out myself, it's still not to my liking yet. It was a waste of money and anyone that wants ombré hair I suggest you either do it with another product or done at a hair salon.
