Nice play pen but can be pushed around by toddler, 7 Aug. 2014
Given that all of these play pens are very expensive, I have decided to give this one four stars despite some shortcomings. It was easy to assemble and is one of the largest ones I could find several months ago for my baby/toddler (we moved houses and may rooms were still too dangerous to let my 1-year old child access all corners of them). It is quite light and one can fold it in great parts, but this is at the same time one of the disadvantages. One would probably need to fix it to the walls in order to avoid the baby/toddler from lifting it and pushing it in all directions given that the screws at the corners get easily loose (I just put some boxes to the sides and it was more or less ok - however, I stayed in the same room most of the time).The wood is nice and in general the play pen is nice looking.

Well made - keeps grandparents safe., 2 Feb. 2014
This item was quite heavy and hence robust.We needed something big enough to give our grandson some freedom without the risk of damage to him or to our furniture ornaments and pictures.Even after 4 months of use he is still happy to be "locked" in when necessary.It gets used one or 2 days a week and the rest of the time is stored behind the sofa in 3 pieces.Assembly is not too bad but the Allen key and screws are a bit of a fiddle.Could benefit from a more robust and lockable retaining slide on the top of the gate.

This item was purchased not to be used as a playpen but to be used as a barrier around some steps in my church to prevent young children from accessing the steps and reaching a platform area that could be dangerous for them. So far it has worked quite well, the gate is a bit fiddly and care has to be excercised when opening and closing it but overall we are pleased with the product, it works well for the purpose we require.
