Unsafe - do not buy, 9 Feb. 2017

I bought this bathrobe for my 12 week old granddaughter as she is visiting. On arrival, today, we were puzzled as to why this is advertised as a towel when it is more of a blanket - I should have read the reviews but it was ordered in haste. However, it looked like a lovely 'blanket' so we decided to keep it. We wrapped it around the baby and were horrified to find that the ears were very sharp. There is a hard plastic strip, sewn inside each ear, as a stiffener, to keep the ears up. The fabric is of a wide weave and the roughly cut edges stuck through the fabric. I deconstructed the top of the head and took out the strips and have sewn it back up, albeit with a great deal of difficulty. One should not have to go to these lengths with a newly bought item. This is absolutely unacceptable in an item for a baby or small child.

Agree with all the other recent reviews I've now seen on here saying that as this 'towel' is made of a furry fleece material, not flannel, it is not fit for purpose, as It doesn't absorb water at all!

More of a blanket than a towel due to its finish making it not absorbent. However my daughter loves it as a BLANKET and finds it hilarious when I put it on my head and bark like a dog- note it looks like a DALMATIAN not a leopard.
