Amazing! Thank you, 5 Aug. 2015
My son has autism & will not get his hair cut. We have had hairdressers & barbers refuse to even go near him as he is so distressed. Since then myself & his Grannie usually cut wee bits of here & there when his mind is on something else. I seen the calming clippers on Facebook the other day & didn't hesitate to order them as to be honest I'd try anything. Well they arrived today & I wasn't disappointed! Yes it wasn't plain sailing & it took me two attempts to get all his hair cut, as he hates the hair falling on him & doesn't really like you to touch his hair. It really was stress free for me & my son coped really well too. The calming clippers them self are really easy to use & give a lovely even haircut allover, which is usually impossible for me to get.. so the reason my son usually has long hair until today he has a lovely grade 3 allover & looks like a proper wee boy. Thank you

Worked for my autistic son..., 8 Nov. 2015

I bought these on the back of the other positive reviews and am glad I did.

My autistic son, like most on the spectrum, has difficulties with normal tasks that are simply not an issue for those not on the spectrum. As a parent, you have battles over everyday things that other kids take in their stride. One issue for us was getting my sons haircut...

We started taking him to hairdressers, which never ended well and I always felt conscious of creating a scene. He tended to leave with is hair half cut. The same thing happened when we got a hairdresser to come to our house, our son quickly got very upset and the haircut was very uneven simply because he got so upset and was always pushing the scissors away...That's when I looked for another way and found out about these scissors.

Once they arrived I showed them to our son on successive days and then cut his hair when he was in the bath one night. (I think this helps reduce the amount of cut hair that ends...

Money well spent!, 29 Aug. 2015
My son has autism and hair cuts are dreaded in my house. I've always done them myself with a clipper but he hates it! Usually it takes at least a day to do all his hair and round the edges is always a mess. Not this time! It did take a bit of getting used to, so if you're starting out stick to one length all over. For the first time ever my son will look smart on his first day back at school as he won't have bits of hair round his ears that I haven't managed to cut.The product itself is really good quality, and the inserts for the finger holes are perfect if like me you have small hands.
