A good cot bumper set., 4 Dec. 2014

This like all cot bumpers has some safety warnings but these are not shown in this item description. It's only for use with babies unable to pull themselves up to a sitting position. The inner label dimensions also not shown on the product page say this will fit a cot bed 140 x 70cm. It's machine washable but not tumble dryable but dries very quickly.This is a very breathable fabric. Trying it myself you can breathe easily as normal so I'm happy that it's safe. The end 50cms use Velcro to attach it around the cot bars so there are no dangerous ribbon like ties for your baby to suck or get tangled with. It's relatively short in width but that is fine with a small baby. The edges are finished well with a smooth satin like ribbon finish. The cot bumper comes in two separate sections.Recommended once your baby starts rolling in the cot.

Did an excellent job, 27 Nov. 2014

We started using this as our baby started moving around a lot more in her sleep and she kept getting her legs trapped in the bars of the cot. This would then wake her up and she would start screaming when she found she couldn't extract her leg herself. This solves that problem.I was always wary of bumpers, but being mesh, if the child's face is up against it, they can still breath.It is I easy to attach with Velcro and simple enough to take off and wash.For us, this gave us many more hours sleep without being woken by a distressed child, and it was worth every penny.Recommended.

Breathable and safe for baby, reassurance for parents, universal fit., 11 April 2015

While this is a nice product that is unobtrusive and discreet while fitted, I missed having a traditional cot bumper with pretty animal designs so I ended up using both together. I will remove the thick padded one very soon as my son gets bigger but it seemed such a shame to not use the matching one that came with the cot duvet, curtains, lampshade, cot organiser, changing mat and baby sleeping bag that I found myself tying it on to the cot inside the white breathable one , but at the foot end instead. It's hard to resist using a prettier one than this if you already have one as part of a set!

Back to the Babies Firsts product: this one is stretched around the outer ends of the cot (which in my case are solid), then is fed along the inside of the cot bars down each side. This way, the bumper is tight enough to self support and not fall down, but would collapse if the baby tried to stand on it. There were no instructions at all in the product packaging to tell you how to fit...
