Depends what you want it for? Generally poor., 23 Sept. 2014

With my first baby I used a tommee tippee electric pump which wasn't great so with my second I thought I'd try a manual initially. The first few times I used this I got 5/6 ounces from one breast in under 10 minutes and I thought it was a revelation! Sadly ever since I've got about an ounce before it's just stopped working (even though my supply has increased), yet if I remove the pump and immediately hand express I get milk squirting out here there and everywhere. Its been fine for taking the odd ounce off to reduce engorgement but now that my baby is 10 weeks old if I want to leave him for a few hours at somepoint, I'm going to have to buy a better pump as this just wouldn't express anywhere near enough milk. Plus sides are it's very comfortable, doesn't hurt at all and it's easy to assemble, store and carry about. That's about it. That said, I've got to 10 weeks and it's been fine up to now, so if you just want it like I did at first then it's all you need buy until you know if...

Worked prefect, 26 Oct. 2014
This worked perfectly for me. Not too difficult to clean, simple and came with a bottle and flange lid. Having a flange lid is very useful during breaks and also if the bottle falls for some reason, you do not loose any milk.since I am already using Avent feeding bottles it meant one job less( of transferring the expressed milk to the feeding bottle).I started with a dual electric Ameda pump , which worked fine initially but wasn't consistent in output. I then decided to try a manual and I am glad I did. It gives you better control of positioning & applying desirable pressure . This one had decent reviews and though its hard work than electric, I found that I got more milk out using a manual and its portable too. If you are trying to build up supply in initial weeks I would highly recommend a manual first. This is the first manual I have tried and since it worked brilliantly for me, I may not need to try another and so not able to compare it with other manuals.

Highly recommend., 1 Aug. 2014
Brilliant. I had the Tommee Tippee manual pump with my first child and it didn't seem to work so I was reluctant to invest in another pump with my second child. However, this works really well. My only complaint is it is a bit noisey!
